President John Ellis Price

John Ellis Price believes in the transformative power of education because he’s experienced it. He was born and grew up in Vicksburg, Miss., where he was one of 10 children. His parents, though poor, stressed education and entrepreneurship, and along the way his mentors encouraged him to press on.

He started his career selling candy and bottled drinks to his siblings and friends. He later became an accountant, an IRS agent, a professor, and today he is the president of the 38th institution of higher education in the State of Texas – UNT Dallas. Read more about Dr. Price.
